New Delhi: West Indian batting great Brian Lara has revealed he is no longer a part of the unsanctioned Indian Cricket League.
Lara was in Mumbai recently but was to fly out to Australia. "If I’m heading to Australia, then how can I be with the ICL?" he told The Indian Express.
After playing the inaugural season of the ICL last year, Lara was conspicuous by his absence in the second edition earlier this year. Reports indicated that Lara wanted to opt out of the league.
This time, however, the organisers confirmed the report, saying his association with the ICL has ended.
