India's most sensational batsman, Sachin Tendulkar has added one more record to his name. Sachin Tendulkar has become the leading run scorer in test cricket. He broke Brain Lara's record of 11,953 runs while batting against Australia in the second test match at Mohali. Tendulkar has achieved the milestone of maximum runs in test matches by playing 152 matches while Lara took 131 matches for his 11,953 runs.
This prolific batsman from India also holds the record of having the maximum runs in 50-50 version of the game. He has made 16,361 runs from 417 one-day matches with an average well above 45. Sachin Tendulkar also holds the world record of scoring maximum number of centuries in both forms of the game. Before the start of the recent Australian series, the master blaster was just 77 runs short of Lara's world record.
